Terms and Conditions
Professional 102-page edition: 10 core contractual pages followed by one dedicated page for each of the 92 current LifeBook features.
These Terms allocate rights and responsibilities only to the extent permitted by applicable law. They do not waive non-excludable consumer, privacy or statutory rights.
Agreement, Scope and Contract Structure
The legal foundation for using LifeBook
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between the person using LifeBook – Personal OS (“you”, “user”) and Nuevo Digital Lab, an independent developer in India (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, “our”). They govern installation, access and use of the Android application package com.nuevo.lifebook, its local features, optional Google account functions, Backup Vault, passes, advertisements, purchases, exports and connected services.
LifeBook is an offline-first personal operating system. Most ordinary features work locally and do not require sign-in. A Google identity may be required when you deliberately connect Backup Vault, buy or restore a paid pass, or use another connected service that requires an account.
Contract hierarchy
- Mandatory law prevails over these Terms.
- Feature-specific terms on pages 11-102 supplement these core Terms.
- A specific warning shown in the App controls over a general description for that operation.
- Google Play purchase terms and third-party provider terms govern their own services and transactions.
- The LifeBook Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling and is incorporated by reference.
By installing, accessing or using LifeBook after these Terms are presented or made reasonably available, you agree to them to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, do not use the App or the affected connected service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or waives a statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.
Eligibility, Accounts, Device Access and Feature Locks
Who may use LifeBook and how access is controlled
You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement. If you are under 18, use LifeBook only with the involvement and permission of a parent or lawful guardian where required. Certain third-party services may impose their own minimum-age requirements.
Local use and optional account
LifeBook opens in local mode without requiring Google sign-in. When you choose to sign in, the same Google identity may be used for Firebase authentication, Google Drive Backup Vault authorization and paid-pass ownership/restoration. You are responsible for maintaining control of that Google account and the device on which LifeBook is installed.
Feature Lock
LifeBook may let you mark selected home features as locked. Authentication is delegated to Android’s protected device authentication, which may use fingerprint, face, PIN, pattern or password where supported. LifeBook does not promise that Feature Lock provides the same protection as full-device encryption or a dedicated high-security vault.
- Keep your device screen lock enabled and confidential.
- Do not share account credentials or intentionally bypass purchase, backup or security controls.
- You are responsible for activity performed by persons to whom you give device or account access.
- Loss, reset or replacement of a device can affect locally stored data and authentication state.
Do not store information in a way that makes LifeBook the only path to emergency, medical, legal or safety-critical information.
Licence, Intellectual Property, User Content and Acceptable Use
Rights in the App and rights in your own records
Subject to these Terms, the Developer grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use LifeBook for lawful personal or internal organisational purposes. The licence does not transfer ownership of LifeBook, its source code, branding, original interface, documentation, templates or other Developer-created material.
Your content
You retain lawful rights in text, images, audio, documents, records and other content you create or import. You grant LifeBook only the technical permission reasonably necessary to store, display, transform, calculate, print, export, share, back up and restore that content at your direction.
Acceptable use
You must not use LifeBook to violate law, invade privacy, impersonate others, create fraudulent official records, infringe intellectual-property rights, distribute malware, manipulate advertising or purchases, attack connected infrastructure, or unlawfully record, monitor or disclose another person.
Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you must not circumvent access or purchase controls, distribute modified copies of the App, exploit non-public services, or use automated activity intended to overload, scrape or abuse LifeBook or its providers.
Open-source packages, Android/Google services, fonts, icons, media and other third-party material remain subject to their respective licences and terms.
Local Data, Backup Vault, Restore, Exports and Data Responsibility
How records can be stored, copied, lost and restored
LifeBook stores most feature records locally in the application’s private storage. Local data can be lost if the App is uninstalled, storage is cleared, a device is lost or reset, files are corrupted, or an incompatible software change occurs. You should keep independent copies of irreplaceable information.
Optional Backup Vault
If you connect Google Drive Backup Vault, LifeBook may create encrypted snapshots in the Drive appDataFolder scope and may include registered database records and eligible media. The current retention design keeps rotating recovery points including up to 7 daily, 4 weekly, 12 monthly and 3 yearly automatic copies, with separate protected/manual or temporary safety copies and a 30-day recycle period where implemented.
Backup and restore are best-effort technical functions, not archival guarantees. Network failure, account authorization, Drive availability, storage quota, version incompatibility, damaged media or software defects can prevent backup or restore.
Exports and sharing
When you export, print, share, open, copy or send information, copies may leave LifeBook and become controlled by another app, person, printer, cloud provider or device. Deleting the LifeBook record does not recall those copies.
Review backup status and exported content, protect your Google account, verify important restores, and do not treat a single LifeBook copy as permanent evidence or archival storage.
Passes, Purchases, Advertising and Connected Services
Commercial terms and third-party platforms
LifeBook features remain usable even when no pass is active. Passes are ad-free access entitlements, not a licence to unlock otherwise blocked core features.
Free Pass
LifeBook may grant promotional free ad-free time, including a welcome balance or rewarded time. Free Pass availability, limits and eligibility may change prospectively. Free time has no cash value, is not transferable and may require successful rewarded-ad verification.
Monthly and Yearly Passes
Paid passes may be sold through Google Play as time-limited digital products. The current implementation verifies purchases with a server-side service and records the verified entitlement. A paid pass is personal to the relevant account and may be denied, corrected or revoked if a purchase is invalid, refunded, reversed, fraudulent or cannot be verified. Unless the Google Play purchase screen expressly identifies a recurring subscription, a LifeBook pass should not be assumed to auto-renew.
Advertising
When no ad-free pass is active, LifeBook may show App Open Ads or other permitted advertising. Rewarded ads may be offered in exchange for promotional ad-free time. Advertisers and ad networks control their own content and processing. An advertisement is not an endorsement.
Google Play, Google Sign-In, Firebase, Drive, AdMob, Cloud Functions and other providers may change availability, pricing, policies or technical behaviour. Their outages or account actions can affect connected features.
Professional, Financial, Health, Technical and Content Disclaimers
Limits on reliance across LifeBook tools
LifeBook is a general-purpose organisational application. It does not become a regulated professional service merely because a feature handles a specialised subject.
- Financial tools: not banking, investment, tax, accounting, insurance, lending or credit advice.
- Health and wellbeing tools: not a medical device, diagnosis, treatment plan, emergency service or substitute for a qualified professional.
- Legal/official records: LifeBook records are not automatically notarised, audited, certified, legally filed or admissible evidence.
- Engineering/measurement: sensors, calculators, drawings, maps and measurements are not certified surveying, navigation or safety systems.
- Career/education/assessment: scores, career descriptions and tests are informational and do not guarantee admission, employment, aptitude or diagnosis.
- Business tools: not payroll, ERP, statutory accounting, labour-compliance or tax-filing software.
Outputs may be affected by user input, incomplete data, formulas, rounding, device hardware, sensor drift, third-party content and software defects. Verify material decisions through authoritative sources and qualified professionals.
Do not use LifeBook as the sole system for medical emergencies, navigation, structural safety, legal deadlines, financial transfers, medication, hazardous operations or any task where a failure could reasonably cause serious injury or major loss.
Service Availability, Updates, Support and Changes
How LifeBook may evolve over time
LifeBook is provided on an “as available” basis, subject to mandatory consumer law. The Developer does not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every Android device or version, permanent preservation of every feature, or permanent availability of any third-party service.
The Developer may add, redesign, rename, combine, restrict, repair or discontinue features; change storage schemas; change advertising or pass mechanics; update dependencies; alter technical requirements; or stop supporting older releases. Material changes affecting existing paid rights will be handled subject to applicable law and the purchase terms in force.
Updates
Updates may be required for security, compatibility, Google Play compliance, backup formats or connected services. Old versions may become unable to connect to cloud services or restore newer backups.
Support
Support is best-effort and does not create a guaranteed response time unless separately promised. Never send passwords, OTPs, full payment credentials, private keys or unnecessary sensitive records. Diagnostic screenshots and exported files may reveal private data; redact them before sending.
Feature annexes describe the current reviewed catalogue. A later release may require updated Terms if a feature’s legal or risk profile materially changes.
Warranties, Liability, Indemnity, Force Majeure and Consumer Rights
Allocation of foreseeable risk within lawful limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LifeBook is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. The Developer does not guarantee that records, calculations, reminders, exports, backups, restores, third-party content or connected services will always be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure or fit for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss caused by user error, unlawful use, device failure, third-party outages, corrupted local storage, missed reminders, external sharing, failed backup/restore, inaccurate inputs or reliance on non-professional outputs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that applicable law does not permit the Developer to exclude, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct or other non-excludable legal obligations.
User responsibility and indemnity
To the extent legally enforceable, you are responsible for claims or losses caused by your unlawful content, infringement of third-party rights, unauthorized recording or disclosure, fraudulent advertising/purchase activity, misuse of another person’s information, or material breach of these Terms.
Force majeure
The Developer is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including platform outages, network failures, device/OS changes, cloud-provider incidents, legal restrictions, disasters or infrastructure disruption, subject to mandatory law.
Termination, Deletion, Privacy, Minors and Compliance
Ending use and legal compliance obligations
You may stop using LifeBook at any time. You can delete local records in the App, clear app storage or uninstall the App. These actions do not automatically delete Google Drive backups, Firebase entitlement records, Google Play purchase history or copies already exported to other destinations.
The Developer may suspend access to connected services or entitlements where reasonably necessary for fraud, security, unlawful use, invalid purchases, provider requirements, legal compliance or discontinuation. Local offline features should not be represented as remotely revocable where the Developer has no such technical control.
Privacy and data protection
The separate Privacy Policy explains processing of personal data. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 apply according to their notified commencement schedules and scope. Other privacy or consumer laws may also apply depending on the user and processing.
Children and minors
LifeBook is not designed as a child-directed service. Where a child’s personal data is processed through connected services, the user and Developer must comply with applicable parental-consent and child-protection requirements when those provisions apply. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a minor’s use.
You must comply with laws governing privacy, recording, intellectual property, employment, consumer protection, advertising, taxation and professional activities that apply to your use.
Governing Law, Disputes, Notices, Amendments and Acceptance
Final contractual provisions
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without displacing mandatory consumer protections or conflict-of-law rules that must apply. Before filing a formal claim, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve the matter by contacting the Developer with enough information to investigate.
Subject to any non-waivable right to bring a consumer claim elsewhere, disputes may be brought before courts or consumer forums of competent jurisdiction in India. These Terms do not require a user to waive statutory consumer remedies.
Changes
The Developer may update these Terms for new features, legal requirements, security, provider changes, monetisation or technical architecture. The updated document will identify a revised effective date. Where law requires affirmative notice or renewed consent, the Developer will provide it before the relevant change takes effect.
General clauses
- If a provision is unenforceable, it is limited or removed only to the minimum necessary and the remainder continues.
- Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- You may not assign your rights except as law permits; the Developer may transfer the App and these Terms as part of a lawful business transfer.
- These Terms, the Privacy Policy and purchase-specific notices form the agreement for LifeBook use.

Daily Diary
Planning & Personal Records • LOCAL-FIRST • BACKUP ELIGIBLE
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Record dated diary entries and personal reflections. Information processed: free-text content, titles, dates/times, categories, status/progress fields and any personal or third-party information the user chooses to enter.
By using this feature, you confirm that you have the right to enter, import or otherwise process the relevant information. You are responsible for accuracy, legality, permissions and appropriate confidentiality.
2. Storage, backup and continuity
Permanent diary records use a registered record namespace and are eligible for LifeBook backup. Internal recovery/quarantine data is local-only. Backup is optional and depends on the user connecting the LifeBook Backup Vault. Ordinary feature use does not require a Google account.
No storage method is guaranteed to be permanent. Keep an independent copy of information whose loss would cause material harm.
3. Export, permissions and third parties
This feature may use speech recognition or rich text/input services when selected; may create PDFs, print or share files through Android. When the user deliberately exports, shares, prints, streams, opens a URL, selects a file, or hands data to another app, the destination may receive the selected content and technical metadata under its own privacy terms.
If data leaves LifeBook at your direction, the receiving service, person or device may create additional copies subject to its own terms. LifeBook cannot recall those copies.
4. Deletion, retention and account effects
Local records remain until the user deletes them, uses a feature-specific recycle/delete action, clears LifeBook app data or restores/replaces storage. Cloud backup copies follow Backup Vault retention until deleted or expired under the backup policy. Deleting a LifeBook record does not delete copies already exported, printed, sent to another person, stored by another app, or retained in an older cloud backup until that backup is deleted or expires.
Signing out or disabling Backup Vault does not by itself delete local records, existing cloud snapshots, exports or third-party copies.
The feature is an organisational aid. User-entered records and generated outputs may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. Where a decision could materially affect money, health, safety, legal rights, employment, travel or another person, the user must independently verify the relevant information.
Journal
Planning & Personal Records • LOCAL-FIRST • BACKUP ELIGIBLE
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Record permanent, timestamped 15-minute rich-text journal blocks with local draft recovery.
Permanent journal records and journal settings use registered raw namespaces and are eligible for LifeBook backup. Recovery drafts and quarantine records are local-only and intentionally excluded from cloud snapshots.
Recorded blocks remain until the user permanently deletes them. Unsaved recovery drafts are temporary local-only records and are cleared after successful recording/discard or by applicable cleanup.

If used for employees, customers, guests, clients, contractors, fees, attendance, operations or other business records, the user is responsible for notices, consents, employment or consumer obligations, taxes, retention rules, access controls and record accuracy. LifeBook is not an ERP, payroll, statutory register, certified accounting system or legal compliance service.
FormBook
Planning & Personal Records • LOCAL-FIRST • BACKUP ELIGIBLE
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Design forms and export completed designs, with recovery data kept separately from permanent form records.
Permanent form records use the registered form-record namespace and are eligible for backup. Recovery and quarantine data are local-only. Backup is optional and depends on the user connecting the LifeBook Backup Vault. Ordinary feature use does not require a Google account.
No storage method is guaranteed to be permanent. Keep an independent copy of information whose loss would cause material harm.
3. Export, permissions and third parties
This feature may create PDFs, print or share files through Android.

Outputs are convenience estimates and may be affected by device hardware, calibration, formulas, conversion constants, rendering libraries, sensor accuracy, file compatibility or user input. Do not use the feature as the sole basis for engineering, safety, surveying, navigation, legal filing, certified measurement or other safety-critical decisions.
Mini CAD
Tools & Creation • LOCAL-FIRST • BACKUP ELIGIBLE
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Create lightweight CAD-style drawings or designs and retain project state. Information processed: project content, names, design/code/table data, settings, timestamps and outputs created by the user.
By using this feature, you confirm that you have the right to enter, import or otherwise process the relevant information. You are responsible for accuracy, legality, permissions and appropriate confidentiality.
2. Storage, backup and continuity
Feature records use a LifeBook-owned raw namespace in the local Hive database and are eligible for registered LifeBook backup when Backup Vault is enabled. Backup is optional and depends on the user connecting the LifeBook Backup Vault. Ordinary feature use does not require a Google account.
No storage method is guaranteed to be permanent. Keep an independent copy of information whose loss would cause material harm.
3. Export, permissions and third parties
This feature does not require a cloud account for ordinary local use; Android permissions are requested only by functions that need them.

1. Permitted purpose and user records
Store recipes, ingredients and preparation notes. Information processed: recipe names, ingredients, steps, categories, notes and related cooking information.

Grocery Book
Home & Reference • LOCAL-FIRST • BACKUP ELIGIBLE
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Track grocery stock and consumption-related records. Information processed: grocery items, quantities, stock/consumption values, categories, dates and notes.

3. Export, permissions and third parties
This feature can launch user-directed external actions such as calls, messages, email, browsers or other URI handlers; may create PDFs, print or share files through Android.

PDF Tools
Tools & Creation • LOCAL-FIRST • BACKUP ELIGIBLE
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Create, transform or manage PDFs; store signature-vault records and local-only recent generated-file history where supported. Information processed: PDF files selected by the user, generated outputs, signature-vault content and operation history that the user chooses to create.
By using this feature, you confirm that you have the right to enter, import or otherwise process the relevant information. You are responsible for accuracy, legality, permissions and appropriate confidentiality.
2. Storage, backup and continuity
Signature-vault records are stored in the registered PDF Tools namespace and are eligible for LifeBook backup. Recent generated-file history is local-only because a device path is not a portable cloud record by itself. Backup is optional and depends on the user connecting the LifeBook Backup Vault. Ordinary feature use does not require a Google account.
No storage method is guaranteed to be permanent. Keep an independent copy of information whose loss would cause material harm.
3. Export, permissions and third parties
This feature may open a file or image picker and process user-selected media; may create PDFs, print or share files through Android.
Signature-vault records remain until the user deletes them or clears LifeBook data. Local generated-file history can be cleared locally. Exported PDFs/signatures outside LifeBook remain under the destination’s control.
Toolbox

1. Permitted purpose and user records
Provide measurement and utility tools and store lightweight calibration, favourites and settings. Information processed: user-entered feature records, settings, timestamps and outputs necessary to provide the feature.
This feature may use location and/or device sensors when the user activates the relevant function.

Image Cropper
Tools & Creation • NO DURABLE CORE RECORD
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Crop and transform user-selected images. Core edit state is temporary unless the user saves or shares an output. Information processed: selected image bytes, crop/transform settings and output image data during the editing session.
By using this feature, you confirm that you have the right to enter, import or otherwise process the relevant information. You are responsible for accuracy, legality, permissions and appropriate confidentiality.
2. Storage, backup and continuity
Core use does not require a durable feature record. Inputs and intermediate state are processed on the device; an exported or shared result becomes a separate file outside that temporary state. Backup is optional and depends on the user connecting the LifeBook Backup Vault. Ordinary feature use does not require a Google account.
No storage method is guaranteed to be permanent. Keep an independent copy of information whose loss would cause material harm.
3. Export, permissions and third parties
This feature may open a file or image picker and process user-selected media.
Temporary in-memory state normally ends when the feature/session is closed. Files the user explicitly saves, prints or shares persist wherever the user or destination places them.
The user must have the right to record, edit, reproduce, perform, store, export and share the relevant media. Generated or edited output is not guaranteed to be original, publication-ready, rights-cleared or free of third-party claims. Recording another person may require notice or consent under applicable law.

By using this feature, you confirm that you have the right to enter, import or otherwise process the relevant information. You are responsible for accuracy, legality, permissions and appropriate confidentiality.
2. Storage, backup and continuity
Prepared-track records use the registered DJ Studio namespace and are eligible for database backup. Source audio and recorded mixes are files on the device and are portable only when separately exported or included by supported media backup. Backup is optional and depends on the user connecting the LifeBook Backup Vault. Ordinary feature use does not require a Google account.
No storage method is guaranteed to be permanent. Keep an independent copy of information whose loss would cause material harm.
3. Export, permissions and third parties
This feature uses audio capabilities; Voice Book/DJ Studio create or play user-selected audio files.

World Radio
Media, Learning & Exploration • LOCAL PREFERENCES
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Play internet radio and remember user preferences such as favourites or recent stations where enabled. Information processed: station selections, favourites, recent stations, playback quality or similar preferences; streaming requests also reveal network information to radio/stream providers.
By using this feature, you confirm that you have the right to enter, import or otherwise process the relevant information. You are responsible for accuracy, legality, permissions and appropriate confidentiality.
2. Storage, backup and continuity
Lightweight preferences/history are stored locally on the device. They are not treated as substantive user-content records unless explicitly incorporated into LifeBook’s backup system. Backup is optional and depends on the user connecting the LifeBook Backup Vault. Ordinary feature use does not require a Google account.
No storage method is guaranteed to be permanent. Keep an independent copy of information whose loss would cause material harm.
3. Export, permissions and third parties
This feature requires network access to external radio/stream providers selected by the user.

4. Deletion, retention and account effects
Temporary in-memory state normally ends when the feature/session is closed. Files the user explicitly saves, prints or shares persist wherever the user or destination places them.
This feature may open, stream or direct the user to content or services controlled by third parties. Availability, legality, licensing, accuracy, security, advertising, subscriptions and privacy practices of those services are outside LifeBook’s control. The user should review the destination before relying on or purchasing anything.
EquationBook
Tools & Creation • NO DURABLE CORE RECORD
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Plot or calculate equations and mathematical visualizations; core calculation state is generally session-oriented unless exported. Information processed: numbers, dates, rates, cash flows, formulas, units, assumptions and calculated outputs entered or generated on the device.
This feature does not require a cloud account for ordinary local use; Android permissions are requested only by functions that need them.

IQ Test
Personal & Lifestyle • LOCAL-FIRST • BACKUP ELIGIBLE
1. Permitted purpose and user records
Run a cognitive/IQ-style assessment and retain completed-result history and an unfinished draft. Information processed: assessment answers, timing/progress, generated scores or result summaries, completed-result history and unfinished draft state.
